Ethics are not as easy to explain as rules or guidelines, they’re not as clearly stated as that either. They are more like the set of personal codes that serve as a moral compass. Having ethics of your own is often the distinguishing factor between what you consider to be right or wrong. People generally don’t have the same ethics, which is why moral compasses differ. One person may consider it unfair to stay back after closing to complete a job, preferring to attend to it the next day. Another person may not like to keep a job until the next day. It doesn’t mean that either is right or wrong. It just means that different things matter to both people.
